Duration: 5 days / 4 nights Route: Tashkent-Zangiota-Samarkand-Bukhara-Tashkent Description: A discovery tour and also pilgrimage to the holy sites of Islam in Uzbekistan. Visit the ancient city -Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara mausoleums, monuments of history and medieval architecture.

Day 1: Tashkent
Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Rest. Lunch. After lunch, you will start sightseeing and pilgrimage to the Islamic holy sites of the Old Tashkent. You’ll visit the Hazrati Imam complex, which includes Barak-Khan Madrassah (XVIc.), KaffalShashi Mausoleum (XVc.), MadrassahMui-Mubarak, which houses the oldest Koran, written in VII c.; Kukeldash Madrassah (XVIc.). Return to hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight.
Day 2: Tashkent-Zangiota-Samarkand
Breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Samarkand by car/van/coach. On the way, stop at Zangi-ota town and visit the Mausoleum Zangi-ota (XIV-XIX cc.). The mausoleum was built over the burial place of Sheikh Al-Hodge, nicknamed Zangi-ota, who lived at the XII-XIII c. He was the fifth murid (pupil) of Sufiy Hoja Ahmad Yassavi, who was considered the spiritual leader of the all Turkic tribes of Central Asia. Arrive in Samarkand and accommodation at the hotel.Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, start sightseeing and pilgrimage to the holy places of «SaykaliRuiZamin» (“Shining face of the Earth”) – the ancient Samarkand: Mausoleum DoniyorPaygambar (St.Daniel) (XIVc.), revered by both Muslims and Christians and Jews; Khazrat-Hizr Mosque (IXc.) – the oldest mosque in Samarkand; Mausoleum complex Shakhi-Zinda (XIc.) – necropolis consisting of more than 20 unique mausoleums. The core of the ensemble – Mausoleum of Kusamibn Abbas, a cousin of Prophet Mohammed (sav). Shakhi-Zinda – a whole street of the medieval town, which is preserved to this day, are concentrated the oldest buildings in Samarkand. Is an important place of pilgrimage. Dinner in the National house.Overnight.
Day 3: Samarkand-Bukhara
Breakfast at hotel. Then you will start sightseeing in Samarkand: Gur-Emir Mausoleum (XIVc.) – dynastic tomb ofTimurids; Ruhabad Mausoleum(“House of Spirit») (XIVc.) – the tomb of Sheikh BurkhaniddinSagarji (head of Muslims in Beijing), was buried according to his will Samarkand; Registan Square: Ulugbek Madrasah (XVc.), SherdorMadrassah (XVIIc.) and Tilla-Kori Madrassah (XVIIc.) – a masterpiece of medieval architecture and the main symbol of Samarkand; Mausoleum of Imam al-Moturidy, scientist-theologian and philosopher IXc., the founder of the doctrine “Moturudy” in Kalam (the Muslim theology), an expert of “Fikh” (Islamic jurisprudence); Bibi-Khonim Mosque (XIVc.), conceived by Timur as the largest mosque in Central Asia. Lunch.After lunch departure to Bukhara. On the way stop at Dagbit village and visit Mausoleum of MakhdumiAzam (XVI-XVII c.) – famous Oriental scientist theologian and philosopher.The most revered in the East, his writings on philosophy, theology, ethics, Islamic law. The next stop at the Hartang village and visit Mausoleum of Imam Al Bukhari. Imam Al-Bukhari – the greatest figure in Islam, the famous theologian IX century. He – the author of “Al-Jami As-Sahih” – the first collection of authentic “Hadis”, which is the second largest Muslim book after the Koran. Arrival in Bukhara.Accommodation at the hotel.Rest.Dinner at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 4: Bukhara-Tashkent (flight)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast you will make a pilgrimage to the Memorial complex of BakhauddinNaqshband (XVIc.) – center of Naqshbandi Sufi order. Here is the tomb of the founder of the Order – BakhauddinNaqshband – one of the Seven holy “Pirs” (Mentors) in Bukhara, as well as a necropolis and burial vault of Bukhara rulers. Naqshbandi famous motto “DilbaYoru, dastbacor!” (Heart to God, hand to work!)is still popular among the people. “Silsila” (Chain of succession) of Naqshbandi doctrine back to the Caliphs Ali and Abu-Bakr. After a pilgrimage – start sightseeing in Bukhara, in which you become acquainted with the staggering monuments of “Bukhoroi-Sharif” (“Holy Bukhara”). You’ll visit the Ark Fortress (VIIc.) – main palace of Bukhara emirs; Samanids Mausoleum (Xc.) – dynastic tomb of Samanids, the pearl of Bukhara and a masterpiece of world architecture; ChashmaiAyub Mausoleum (XIVc.); Labi-Khauz Complex (XVIc.). Lunch in the tea-house “Labi-Khauz”. Continuation of sightseeing: Poi-Kalon Square: KalonMinaret (XIIc.) – the highest in Central Asia, Mir-Arab Madrassah (XVIc.) – acting religious educational institution, Kalon Mosque (XVc.); the famous medieval Trading dome – Toki Zargaron (Dome of jewelers), Toki Sarrafon (Dome moneychangers), Toki-Telpak-Furushon (Dome of Hat sellers) (XVc.); MaggokiAttori Mosque (Xc.) – the oldest mosque in Bukhara. After completing the program – dinner. Transfer to the airport. 20:25 (21:05, 21:35) – Flight to Tashkent. 21:25 (22:15, 23:05) – Arrival in Tashkent. * Time of departure/arrival time depends on the day of the week according to flight schedules. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5: Tashkent
Breakfast. Free time. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Tashkent.
