Turkmen money

Turkmenistan law forbids pay purchases and services in foreign currency. We want warn overseas guests about appeal need exchange offices or in banking national curency exchange institutions. Banks are opened here on weekdays (Monday-Friday). Exchange-offices function as well, which work round clock. ATMs can be met extremly on city streets. If someone leaves toward suburbs, then we recommend take care of local currency acquisition, preferably small notes. Forget various maps, likewise traveler’s checks because you won’t be able use them.

Only U.S. dollars of a new sample free of defects are subject to interexchange. Don’t operate street “moneychangers” services. Cash cards are accepted for payment only by largest shops and Ashgabat hotels. In other places they’re useless. Exchangers accept exclusively whole cash-notes.
