Tashkent- Beldersay – Chimgan – Charvak – Tashkent B/L/D

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to the mountains.  You set off after breakfast on your day excursion to the Tashkent mountain region area (80 km) heading for Beldersay in the western Tian Shan mountains. Taking a chair lift to the upper station 3 km away, you can enjoy the serentity of this vast range. After the chair lift you have the chance to stretch your legs, with an easy walk up to Kumbel summit at 2200m. From here you can admire the stunning view across the Tian Shan range from west to east.

Lunch

The descent back to the start of the chair lift at Beldersay is on horseback.  You are then driven via Chimgan village to Charvak water reservoir where there are many historical and archaeological points of interest.

Dinner, followed by a transfer back to your hotel in Tashkent.

City tour: Gur-Emir Mausoleum – the tomb of Tamerlane and other Timurids, Rukhabad Mausoleum (“The Spirit Abode”) – according to one legend, inside this dome there is a box with seven hairs of Prophet Mukhammed (XIV c.), The Registan Square (“Sandy Place”) – the most visiting place of Samarkand, which consists of three magnificent monuments : Ulugbek Madrasa (XV c.), Sherdor Madrasa (XVII c.), Tilla-Kari Madrasa .  Bibikhanim Mosque, named after the elder wife of Tamerlane (XIV c.). The architectural complex Shakhi-Zinda (“A living King”) – The name of the complex is connected with the name of Kusam Ibn Abbas – the cousin of Prophet Mukhammed (XI-XV cc.).

City tour around Shakhrisabz: the ruins of Ak-Saray palace(“the White Palace”) – Tamerlane’s summer residence (XIV-XV cc.), The mausoleum of Mukhammad Jakhangir- the mausoleum of the elder and beloved son of Tamerlane (XIV c.), The Dor-us-Saodat complex: “The Khathrat Imam mosque” -a multi-step mosque with a cupola shaped hall and decorated iwans (XIV c.),

Lunch

“The Kuk-Gumbaz mosque” (“Blue cupola”) – was built by Ulugbek on behalf of his father Shakhrukh (XV c.). Lunch. After lunch drive back to Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand.

Transfer to Bukhara (270 km, 4 hrs) through Nurata. On the way stop at Sarmish canyon to see the stone gallery of “The Bronze age Petroglyphs” Nurata city tour: “The Khasan and Khusan Mosque” – the site of pilgrimage of muslims, “Spring” (Chashma) – the holy spring with a number of “mariinka” fish in it. “Namazgokh Mosque” (X c.), “The Sheikh Khusan Nuri Madrasa” (XVI-XVII cc.), the ruins of Alexander the Great’s citadel.

Lunch

In the second half of the day arrive in Bukhara and check-in at the hotel.

Transfer to the hotel and check-in.

Evening show in Nodira Divan Begi madrasah.

Transfer to Khiva through Kyzul-Kum (575 km, 8,5 hrs).

Trip to Kyzylkum Desert (150 km, 1,5-2 h) and visiting of archaeological monuments of Ancient Khorezm: you will visit Kyzyl-Kala – a unique monument of Ancient Khorezm architecture relevant to Kushan- Afrigid period of antique history, Toprak-Kala -ancient settlement which was the capital of Khorezm in the III century AD. Then we’ll visit one of the largest fortresses of Ancient Khorezm – Ayaz-Kala, II century AD, relevant to the period of Kushan Empire prosperity.

Arrive at Khiva – The only “Museum under open sky” in Central Asia. Check-in at the hotel. Free time.
