Day 1

Tashkent -/-/-KE 941 Arrival to Tashkent – capital of Uzbekistan. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. (ECHI)

Day 2

Tashkent -Sukok-Tashkent (B,L,D)

07:00  Early breakfast in the hotel

08:00  Moving to the Sukok settlement located at the height of 900 m above sea level in 60 km from Tashkent. You will be able to walk on the picturesque village.

13:00  Lunch

The second half of day will be devoted to walk on the pine wood located nearby.

18:00  Dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 3

Tashkent-Termez. (B,L,D)

14:00City tour around Termez: An ancient centre of Buddhism in Central Asia, the city is at the southernmost and hottest point of Uzbekistan. It is rich with ancient archaeological sites and some of the artefacts are on display in the Archaeology Museum. We visit the Mausoleum of Al-Hakim at-Termez, one of major pilgrimage sites in Central Asia, as well as the Buddhist temples of Fayaztepa, and Karatepa built on three hills in the Northwest corner of Termez, still used as places of worship. Return by early evening with time to relax and be entertained by the Sultan Saodat Ensemble.

Day 4

Termez-Baysun-Shakhrisabz-Samarkand (B,L,D)

07:00 Early breakfast in the hotel

08:00 Transfer to Baysun – the most picturesque edge included in UNESCO in the list of masterpieces. Visit of the Tura Shamurzayev workshop, famous local artist.

Moving to Shakhrisabz.

13:00  Lunch in Guest house “Alisher House”.

Shakhrisabz City tour. The translation of Shakhrisabz means “Green City” which sits in the south of Uzbekistan some 90km from Samarkand. Here, in Shakhrisabz (UNESCO-World Heritage Site) you’ll tour the monumental memorials of the barbaric Mongol Prince and also have the opportunity to watch the thriving bustle of this lively town. Visit ruins of Ak-Saray palace (“the White Palace”) – Tamerlane’s summer residence, Dorus-Saodat, Dorus Tillovat memorial complexes, Kok Gumbaz, Djahangir Mausoleum. Then you are driven on to Samarkand; on the way you will visit a local guest house, where you will see the weaving of carpets.

Day 5

Day 6

Samarkand – Bukhara (B,L,D)

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel

09:00 Today you leave Samarkand behind with a morning drive to to Bukhara with the stop in Gizhduvan where you visit a workshop of the famous Gizhduvan potter Ubaydullo Narzullayev.

13:00 Lunch in a local cafe.

18:00 Transfer to Bukhara. This is a beautiful city situated in the middle of the Kyzyl Kum desert. Check in to your hotel.

In the evening you visit a national dancing show in Nodir Devan Begi Madrasah and enjoy dinner in Laziz House.

19:00 Overnight in Bukhara.

Day 7

Bukhara (B,L,D)

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel

09:00 Today, you will experience Bukhara in an all-day tour programme, including lunch. Bukhara is a large, unique and authentic art museum that maintains its old oriental face. Situated in the middle of the Kyzyl Kum desert, the ancient city features about one thousand monuments, which recall the halcyon days of the Great Silk Road. Foreign spices, furs and especially silk fabrics were stored and handled in the caravansaries.  In the morning, we guide you to the magnificent Mire-e-Arab Madrasah and the most beautiful and precious building in Central Asia, the Samanid Mausoleum. Then you take a tour through the fortress Ark where you see there the coronation hall and visit the summer residence of the last Emir.

13:00 Lunch at the national restaurant Adras

You enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant Caravan before returning to your hotel for your overnight stay.

19:00 Overnight in Bukhara.

Day 8

Bukhara – Khiva (B,L,D)

07:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

08:00 Moving to Khiva.

13:00 Today you should make long moving through the Kyzyl Kum Desert (470 km).

On the road a lunch in local cafe in the middle of the desert.

16:00 Arrival in Khiva. Check in to the hotel.

19:00 Dinner at the national restaurant Khoresm Art

Day 9

Khiva (B,L,D)

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00 After breakfast your tour continues to the southern border of the seven river lands, in the oasis of Khiva. When you look upon the mighty city wall of Khiva with its gates and bastions of clay, you will be taken to another world: Around the Kalta Minor Minaret life still pulses today as it did in ancient times.  The tour will take you to palaces, mosques, minarets, mausoleums and Koran schools to demonstrate what medieval oriental urban development must have been like. The city tour revolves around the architectural complex “Ichan Kala”; Kunya Ark, the khan’s fortress – the internal citadel which seems to have stood still in time. You can spend some time bartering over goods and choosing from an abundance of products before a visit to the Islom Khodja Residence (1910) –the residence of the main vizier of the last Khiva khan.

Day 10

Nukus (B,L,D)

07:00 Breakfast in the hotel.

08:00 Morning drive to Nukus via a former fishermen’s village, Muynak, which used to be situated on the shores of the Aral Sea, now devoid of water. Then there is time to explore the skeletons of abandoned ships now resting on sands that were once one of their anchorage havens.. A short stop is planned at the archaeological complex Mizdakhan.

Continue driving to Nukus.

Day 11

Nukus-Tashkent (B,L,D)
