DAY 2 Tuesday. Khiva

09:00 Surrounded by mighty walls, the historic inner city of Khiva is the pearl of the Khorezm oasis and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The legend of the city’s foundation tells us that the city grew around the Kheyvak well, the water from which had an amazing taste, and the well was dug by order of Shem, the son of the biblical Noah. This well can still be seen in Ichan-Kala (the inner city of Khiva). Khiva was one of the cities of ancient Khorezm, which was a large state located in the west of Central Asia, south of the Aral Sea. Sightseeing tour of Khiva: Open Museum of the city of Ichan Kala, Kunya Ark (16th century), Ak-Mosque (18th century), Korikhona. Minaret and Juma Mosque (16th century), Pakhlavan Makhmud Complex (14th century), Shirgazi-Khan Madrasah.

09:00 Departure to Bukhara. Bukhara is over 2500 years old. There are various legends and stories associated with the emergence of the city. One of the legends tells that the son of King Siyavush arrived in Bukhara, married the daughter of King Afrosiab and built the Ark fortress there.

16:00 Arrival in Bukhara. Accommodation at the hotel. Free time.

18:00 National show in the Nodir Divan Begi madrasah with dinner.

Night in Bukhara

Day 5 Friday. Bukhara-Shakhrisabz-Samarkand

08:00 Departure to Shakhrisabz. Shakhrisabz was founded more than 2700 years ago. The ancient inhabitants of the city – the Sogdians were known for their crafts, trade and high culture. The city was called Kesh in ancient times.

11:00 Start of a sightseeing tour of the city of Shakhrisabz: Ak-Saray Palace, Doruttillyavat Ensemble, Kok Gumbaz Mosque, Jami Mosque, Jakhongir Mausoleum, Dorussiadat Ensemble.

14:00 Lunch at a national restaurant.

15:00 Departure to Samarkand. Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in the world, founded, according to archaeological data, in the 8th century BC; the center of the historical region and state of Sogdiana. For more than two thousand years, the city was a key point on the Great Silk Road between China and Europe, as well as one of the main centers of science in the medieval East. In the 14th century, it was the capital of the empire of Tamerlane and the Timurid dynasty. The vast majority of the city’s architectural masterpieces were built during this era.

Day 6 Saturday. Samarkand-Tashkent

09:00 Start of a sightseeing tour of Samarkand: Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, Shakhi-Zinda Complex, Ulugbek Observatory, Bibikhanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar.

16:00 Departure to the railway station.

17:00 Departure to Samarkand by high-speed train Afrosiab.

19:10 Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
