Minaret, mosque and madrasah of Seyid-biy

The rich tradesman Seyid Sheliker-biy was initiator of building a complex based on religious structures having location outside of Ichan-Qala and alongside the gates of Palvan-Darvaza. There are nine-dome mosques, minaret and two-storied madrassah. As well there was built open aivan with 3 carved wooden columns at beginning of the 19th century. On the north it flanks the main building of mosque. Many small madrassahs were founded at the northeastern wall of the mosque. Minaret has a height that is more than thirty meters. Beautiful eaves and arch lantern crown the minaret situated in the east from the mosque’s court yard.
