Nadir Divan-beghi madrasah

In 1630-1631, rich Bukhara minister Nadir Muhammad Divan-Beghi constructed Madrassah and mosque beside Khodja Akhrar Necropolis. That became recognition of great sheikh’s spiritual heritage and a role, which “naqshbandiyyah” sheikhs continued to play in Maverannahr at the Astrakhanids, in the 17th century. The front portal of new Madrassah was decorated by pictures of tigers after Sher-Dor. Today, Khodja Akhrar Necropolis consists of Madrassah, summer and winter mosques, column aivan and small minaret built by architect Sagdullah in 1909.
