Memorial complex of Imam al-Bukhari
Uzbekistan is home to large number of famous scientists, philosophers, statesmen. After independence in 1998, large memorial ensemble was built on Hartang village territory near Samarkand, which includes mosque, madrasa, tomb, library. Famous architects/craftsmen worked on project.
Monument gates decorated with carvings. On sides are hung signs with monument history. Central place given to tomb, 17 meters high. Foreign guests come here during a trip to Samarkand. Inside large gallery created all conditions for performance of prayer actions (prayer) of 1500 believers. It believed that visit to this holy place is equivalent to a small hajj. In the courtyard, there is educational building where they study sacred writings, hadiths. Nearby healing spring flows along the shores of which perennial chinars grow, giving coolness in hot weather.
For detailed study of scientist activities opened international foundation, that publishes magazine about Muslims heritage. The literature, which was written by Al-Bukhari, is mandatory for studying in Islamic educational institutions.
