The sacred complex, which was built near Beruni district of Karakalpakstan keeps the tomb of the revered in Islam person, Uvays Karani. It is estimated that the direct construction of the complex went with long intervals, starting from the sixteenth century to the twentieth century AD. Unfortunately, time has appeared severe, destroying a substantial part of the monument of architecture. Now it retains only the smallest part of its former magnificence.
The first restoration work on this complex continued until early XXI century. At the entrance there one can see a huge plate, containing the date of commencement of the construction – 1121.
