The Khodja Daniyar mausoleum is placed at the northern slope of the Afrasiab hill, by the curative source. In accordance with legends, a partner of Kusam ibn Abbes Khodja Daniyar, who was considered as a relative of the Prophet Muhammad and he was thought to be the first Islamic preachers that lived in Central Asia. Other legends told that Khodja Daniyar associated with Biblical and Koran’s prophet Daniyar (Daniel) whose remains were brought here by Amir Temur. A specific characteristic of Khodja Daniyar’s cult tells that the saint continuous to rise in the tomb. As a result, his grave was occasionally prolonged. The dome mausoleum above the gaunt tombstone was founded at the early years of the 20th century.
